He shuffled his feet across the pavement, finally unable to cope,
Glass of water in his hands
Dash of water in his eyes
He shuffled his soul across the gap, kicking pebbles and twigs,
Fleeing the smoke and laughter
Running from music and jokes
He shuffled his body across the grass, dry yet lush and tender,
Streetlights illuminating his creases
Moonlight dispersed within the clouds
Then he shuffled his body into a lotus, straightened his spine,
Tears streaming down his face
Light beaming forth from his soul

And meditated,
Blissfully unnoticed
